INFORMATION FOR TRAVELING AND STAYING AT NAS PENSACOLA FOR COURSES

Hotel: Holiday Inn Express, 6501 Pensacola Blvd., Pensacola, FL 32505, Phone (850) 476-7200. Room reservations will be made for you once Orders have been issued. (the group reservation is under U.S. Coast Guard / Al Stiles).  Hotel is located off I-10, Exit 10A (Hwy. 29 South), 1 Mile on Right; centrally located among restaurants, churches, and Sam's Fun City; conveniently located near the Airport, Downtown Pensacola (Museums and Art Galleries), Pensacola Civic Center, and 3 Major hospitals.

The room rate is the government rate: $55.00 per night and you are expected to pay for the hotel at the time you check out. Maps of NAS Pensacola are not available online, however, below are the directions from Pensacola Regional Airport to NAS Pensacola and from the airport to the holiday inn.  When you reach the front gate of NAS Pensacola, they can give you a map and directions to the class (building 3801).

Travel:   There are several ways that you are authorized to get to NAS Pensacola:

1)      Fly Commercially into Pensacola Regional Airport
2)      Fly your Personal Aircraft (you will be refunded according to the JFTR).  You must make all arrangements to fly into Pensacola Regional airport on your own.  NAS Pensacola will not allow you to land at NAS Pensacola.

3)      Drive your own vehicle.  You may drive your own vehicle as long as the cost of the mileage does not exceed the cost of the estimated airplane cost (this amount can be found on your orders).

4)      Since everyone is staying at the Holiday Inn Express, Please note that SOME students will be allowed to rent vehicles.  Please discuss among the aviators attending in your district and decide who will be renting a vehicle.  Please forward this information to your DIRAUX and your orders will be changed to allow you to rent a vehicle.

To Get to the Hotel from the airport: The hotel is approximately a 20 minute drive from NAS Pensacola.  You are authorized to take a taxi (taxi fare is $9), or if you are able to shuttle yourself and others coming to the airport, you can be authorized to rent a car.  You must notify your DIRAUX that you are planning on renting a vehicle and get their authorization before doing so.  If you fail to do this, you run the risk of not getting refunded.
